AstroZap Flexi-Heat® Heated Dew Shield for Celestron 14" SCT – With Upper & Lower Dovetail Notches
When you're commanding a Celestron 14" Schmidt-Cassegrain, you're not messing around. That massive corrector plate pulls in faint galaxies, planetary detail, and... unfortunately, a whole lot of dew. The AstroZap Flexi-Heat® Heated Dew Shield is built to match the scope’s scale and precision, combining passive dew prevention, active heating, and precision-cut notches to accommodate both upper and lower dovetail bars—no interference, no shifting, no fuss.
Constructed from rugged yet lightweight black ABS plastic, this flexible shield wraps securely around the front of your OTA with a Velcro fastening strip. Inside, a black felt lining helps suppress stray light and insulate the corrector plate to slow heat loss. But when moisture looms large, the built-in low-wattage heating element kicks in—powered via a standard RCA plug and compatible with most 12V dew controllers (sold separately).
The notched design ensures full compatibility with scopes mounted on dual dovetail systems, making this shield an ideal upgrade for visual observers, imagers, or anyone who demands reliability from their dew control gear.

Observing Tip:
The larger your corrector plate, the faster it radiates heat—and a 14" SCT is at the top of the list. This heated dew shield gives you both insulation and active thermal protection, keeping your optics clear through long imaging runs and dewy overnight sessions.
