The DV Adapter is a simple product really.  Losmandy took their male 7" Universal D-Style dovetail and attached a female Vixen Style saddle plate directly to the top of it.  This will allow you to slide the dovetail into your D-Style saddle, and then slide your Vixen dovetail into the Vixen saddle on top.
