This shirt pocket cleaning tool will keep your eyepieces and small optics dust- and spot-free while out in the field day or night.

This is an inexpensive, but effective, cleaning tool that you can take in the field for quick optical touchups on your eyepieces, small refractor telescope, binocular, or spotting scope. The size and shape of a thick ballpoint pen, it has a clip that will keep it handy in your shirt pocket for immediate use. Due to its small size, it is impractical to use the Lens Pen to clean large optical surfaces, such as a Schmidt-Cassegrain corrector lens. However, it can be used to spot clean relatively small areas of a large optical surface, and is the right size to keep smaller optics clean.

The Lens Pen is safe for all optical lenses, including multicoated surfaces. It quickly cleans fingerprints, smudges, grease marks, eyelash oils, and dust off lens surfaces. It uses a unique dry cleaning compound that will not spill or dry out. The compound is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.

How to use the Lens Pen: The Lens Pen contains two parts in one body. At one end of the Lens Pen is a soft retractable brush that is used to gently remove loose dust from the surface of your optics. A cap at the other end of the body conceals a unique flexible 9/16" diameter cleaning pad. Using a smooth circular motion, gently wipe the lens surface with the cleaning pad to remove fingerprints and oils from the lens surface. If smudges persist, breathe gently on the lens surface and repeat the cleaning process. When finished, replace the cap over the cleaning pad and give the cap a half twist. This will replenish the cleaning pad compound.
