Improved Locking Mechanism
The upgrade kit features a ring gear and a tapered brass altitude washer. The tapered surfaces translate applied axial pressure into both axial and radial pressure, resulting in better locking power of the altitude clutch. This design ensures that your telescope remains securely in position during observations, reducing the risk of unwanted movement.
User-Friendly Design
The included altitude locking knob is equipped with threaded holes to accommodate four lock levers. These levers make it easier to tighten the altitude knob, even when wearing gloves in cold weather.
