This flexible heater strip wraps around your 2" eyepiece barrel or finder and provides gentle, even warmth that prevents condensation from forming. It’s designed to work quietly in the background without affecting image quality or comfort. The attached hook-and-loop (Velcro®-style) fastener allows for quick installation and easy adjustment in the dark—even with gloves on.

Power Requirements:
Operates on 12V DC and requires a compatible dew controller (sold separately). Works with most industry-standard controllers, including Thousand Oaks systems.

The heater strip draws 0.30 amps at full power (power consumption at normal operating levels will generally be much less). It has a permanently attached 4' power cord that is terminated by an RCA plug for connection to the control unit.

Compatibility:
This 1" x 6" dew heater strip fits 2" eyepieces and finderscopes over 50mm aperture. The flexible wrap allows for a secure fit across a range of barrel and housing sizes.

Observing Tip:
For best results, activate your heater strip before dew begins to form. Proactive warming keeps your optics dry longer than trying to recover after they’ve fogged.
