The AstroZap Flexi-Shield® dew shield for the Meade 8" ETX-LS Schmidt-Cassegrain is a lightweight, rollable solution to one of observing’s most common frustrations: dew. By extending the front of your optical tube and slowing down the rate at which the corrector plate cools, this shield helps delay or prevent dew formation altogether—especially important on humid or temperature-shifting nights.

Constructed from durable yet lightweight ABS plastic, the dew shield is felt-lined on the inside to reduce glare and reflections while protecting your corrector plate from ambient light sources and moisture. The Velcro-style closure ensures a snug fit around the front cell, and the flexible body makes it easy to store or transport when not in use.

Observing Tip:

For best results, install your dew shield as soon as your telescope is set up.
