The AstroZap Flexi-Shield® dew shield for Meade 14" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes is a simple but highly effective solution to a persistent problem—dew. This lightweight shield wraps around the front of your optical tube to delay or prevent condensation from forming on your corrector plate, while also blocking stray light that can reduce contrast during observing or imaging sessions.
Constructed from black ABS plastic with a felt-lined interior, the shield insulates your corrector plate and helps prevent radiative cooling, one of the main causes of dew. The soft felt lining also minimizes glare from nearby lights, making faint details in deep-sky objects easier to see. The Velcro-style closure makes installation quick and secure, and the flexible design allows you to roll it up for compact storage or transport.
