This finderscope mounting shoe is designed to work on a variety of Astro-Tech telescopes, as well as other manufacturers.

This finder shoe is designed to work on a variety of Astro-Tech telescopes. It will not work on all of them however. The opening of the shoe will accept generic Vixen style finder brackets.

Do not use the screws provided with the shoe. We have found them to be too long and they have caused damage to the finish of the finderscope drawtube. We have been using the screws that are supplied wtih the telescope with great success.

"I wanted an additional finder shoe for my AT 80 EDL refractor and this is exactly the one that matches the original on the scope. What is confusing is all the conflicting information regarding what screws to use to attach it without damaging the focus tube. This finder mount shoe came with screws, but they appear to be too long. With careful measuring of the holes, I found that the extra plug screws where this extra mount would go will work. The attachment seems unnecessarily confusing and perhaps should be sent out without screws. I expect some people damaged their scopes with these."

"I ordered this to replace the one that I robbed from my AT70ED to put on a William Optics Zenithstar. These Astro-Tech Finder Scope mounting shoes are great. They will fit on any of the Kunming United Optics ED refractors such as William Optics, Starfield, Altair Astro, Sky Rover and TS-Optics."

Good solid bracket for a number of 60mm Guidescopes

"I use this bracket for an astromania 60mm guidescope on my C9.25 which is similar in design to the Astro-Tech finderscope. its a solid bracket that keep the guidescope scope on well for use as a finder (with illuminated reticle) and as a guidescope. it allowed me to attach the 60mm to my 9.25 without having to make any holes in the scope to attach it. Very pleased with the bracket and would buy again without hesitation. Holds the finder on solid considering its size."
