This is a very good medium to low power (depending on the focal length of your telescope) eyepiece for lunar observing, viewing emission and reflection nebulas in their entirety, etc. It has a rubber grip ring for comfort in cold weather. It provides a big 5.55mm exit pupil with an f/4.5 Dobsonian reflector for rich field scanning of the Milky Way star clouds in Sagittarius from a dark sky site.

An excellent choice to replace the so-so 26mm eyepiece that comes with many moderately-priced scopes. The 25mm TeleVue Plössl was top-rated in a recent test report of 31 eyepieces in Sky & Telescope magazine as being the best in its focal length.

Tele Vue - say no more

"I purchased this eyepiece earlier this month - November 2nd to be precise. It is intended to be used with my 4" refractor but to date has not been used. The weather & sky conditions here in Kentucky are not so good, but sooner or later I'll have the opportunity to use it. It's a Tele Vue and that's all that needs to be said . I wanted a FOV as big as I could have without spending a large sum of money on the more expensive and heavier Tele Vue eyepieces and also avoid the balance problems that would come with the heavier eyepieces ."

Perfect starting place

"I use this as my finding eyepiece when locating object once the scope completes slewing. I find its eye relief adequate and a great value at the price. You can spend more on other brands but this a great place to start your viewing sessions. Plossl eyepieces represent the majority of my existing eyepieces as the are good quality and good price"
