Wireless Mount Control from Mobile Devices or Computers

Once connected, StarFi creates a dedicated Wi-Fi network your device can join. From there, you can use supported software like SkySafari, iOptron Commander, or planetarium programs with ASCOM/INDI integration to point, slew, and manage targets directly from your device.

• Compatible with iOS and Android mobile apps

• Also works with Windows/macOS via control software

• Supports both direct-access (AP) and existing Wi-Fi network (Station) modes

• Built-in password protection helps secure your session

Designed for iOptron GoTo Mounts

StarFi is designed to work with a variety of iOptron mounts using serial-port hand controllers. Supported models include:

• CEM25 / CEM25P

• CEM60 / CEM60-EC

• iEQ30 / iEQ30 Pro

• iEQ45 / iEQ45 Pro

• ZEQ25

• SmartEQ / SmartEQ Pro (with appropriate cables and external power)

Note: StarFi is not compatible with the Cube, CubePro, MiniTower, or SmartStar PR series mounts.

Easy Setup with Supplied Cables

The adapter includes the necessary communication and power cables to get started quickly with most compatible mounts. No extra modules or configuration tools are needed—just plug in, connect, and launch your control app or software.

Observing Tip:
To avoid interference or connection loss during longer sessions, make sure your device is set to stay connected to StarFi’s network and disable automatic switching to stronger Wi-Fi signals nearby.

• SmartEQ/Pro (need an external 12V power source.)
• Cube Pro w/8408 HC and Cube II w/8408 HC
• DOES NOT support Cube/MiniTower/SmartStar PR mounts
• May work with other manufacture's mounts (need a DB9 RS232 male to male connector and an iOptron RS232-RJ9 cable #8412)
