This extra iOptron 11 pound counterweight helps you balance heavy loads mounted on an iOptron iEQ45 or CEM60 go-to equatorial mount.This iOptron #8027 5 kg (11 pound) counterweight lets you balance an extra-heavy optical tube and heavy accessory load (such as a photoguide scope, accessory dovetail, mounting rings, and a camera) on an iOptron iEQ45 or iEQ45 modified computerized go-to equatorial mount.

These mounts come standard with two 11 pound counterweights suitable to balance payloads up to 25 pounds. Adding one or more of these optional extra counterweights to the mount (and an optional iOptron #8026 counterweight shaft extension, if needed) will let you balance payloads up to 45 pounds. 

The #8027 counterweight uses a non-marring compression ring to hold its position on the mount's 28mm (1.1") diameter counterweight shaft. A hand-tighten knob clamps the compression ring to the counterweight shaft to hold the counterweight in place without damaging the finish on the shaft. The counterweight measures 5.05" in diameter and 2.07" in height.
