How it works
Unlike strap-based dew heaters that waste energy trying to heat the lens cell, the Celestron Dew Heater Ring replaces your factory retaining ring and warms the corrector plate directly. This method is not only more effective, it’s dramatically more efficient—pulling less power from your battery and preventing over-heating that can affect image quality.
A built-in thermistor sensor provides real-time temperature data when connected to a Smart DewHeater Controller (sold separately), allowing the controller to precisely regulate output based on actual conditions.

Designed for Celestron 6″ SCTs manufactured in 2006 or later, this ring installs easily in place of the factory corrector retaining ring. The included paper installation shield helps prevent accidental contact with the glass during the swap. Once in place, the Dew Heater Ring supports your telescope’s original dust cover and becomes a seamless part of your optical tube.

Note: Thermistor feedback is only supported when used with Celestron’s Smart DewHeater Controllers. Heating function alone is compatible with any 12V dew controller.
