This sloped-top cover will protect any fast or medium focal ratio 4" refractor with a focal ratio of f/6 or faster on a German equatorial mount or altazimuth mount. The scope can have a tube length of up to 28". Some typical scopes might include TeleVue NP-101 or Takahashi FS-102 II refractors on a TeleVue Panoramic or Gibraltar altazimuth mount, or on a Celestron CG5 or Advanced Series go-to, Losmandy GM-8, Takahashi EM-11, or Vixen Sphinx go-to mount.

An easy to use casual cover

"Very lightweight, folds up small enough to store inside a 1 gallon size ZipLoc bag. Perfect for protecting your scope and mount from dust and sun exposure. I use the TGR4 on my Losmandy GM 8 mounted AT102 EDL when set up at a dark sky site. Even though it is equipped with a stretch cord with cord lock, don't try to snug the opening up too tightly, You'll only succeed in damaging the cover. Best practice is to use the cord to fasten the cover to the tripod to prevent errant breezes from lifting the cover from underneath. The thin, lightweight material means this cover is much easier handle than the equivalent 365 cover and stores in a much smaller package."

Survived a Hurricane

"I bought this to protect my Explore Scientific ED115 FPL53 115MM F/5.5 during the Staunton River Star Party. We eventually had to evacuate due to Hurricane Michael. Though I had already packed up before the heavy winds, this cover did protect my scopes during the occasional showers before that."
