TeleGizmos 18"-20" F/5 Truss Tube Dobsonian Standard Full Scope Cover

Designed to give the best possible fit for an 18" to 20" f/5 truss tube Dob, this cover has two main connected components: The main tube section (truss tube portion) is constructed of four connected tapered panels. The narrowest point starts at the upper cage assembly, gradually widening to the point where the truss tubes attach to the rocker box. The rocker box section of the cover is box-shaped to conform the general shape of the rocker box. All connection seam points are double lapped and micro-stitched. The resulting seam is highly resistant to moisture penetration to assure your scope will stay dry under even the hardest rains.

This cover will protect any 18" to 20" f/5 truss-tube Dobsonian reflector when the scope is stored in its horizontal parking position. For ease of installing the cover on the scope, the assembled optical tube is usually set in its horizontal parking position, and the cover slipped over it and the rocker box.

The major truss cover length is 72", with a rocker box length of 37", for a combined total length of 109". The rocker box section of the cover is 37" square, open at the bottom with a draw string to tighten the cover against rain and blowing debris. The truss portion has a 25" diameter at the upper cage assembly, with an increasing taper to a 37" diameter at the rocker box. A 1" web strap with a heavy duty adjustable cam lock is provided for additional cover securing or for an attachment point for hold-down weights.
