Starlight Instruments "Shorty" Adapter for 0.8" Travel Feather Touch on 11" Celestron SCT

This adapter threads onto the rear cell of 11" and larger aperture Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes to allow a Feather Touch focuser with 0.8" of drawtube travel to swing through the telescope fork arms.

This 0.45" tall non-vignetting adapter is designed to allow a 0.8" travel 2" Feather Touch focuser with optional internal brake system to swing through the fork arms of 11" and larger Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. It can be used with the Celestron C11, CPC1100, NexStar 11, and C14. Its special wide-mouth design eliminates vignetting during wide field visual observing with long focal length wide field 2" eyepieces and during astrophotography.

It has 3.29" diameter x 16 tpi internal threads on one end that attach to the large rear cell thread (3" visual back) of the above telescopes. The 3.29" to 2" step-down adapter ring normally attached to the rear cell of the scope must be unthreaded and removed to use this adapter. The adapter has a 2.75" diameter opening that accepts the body of a 0.8" travel Feather Touch focuser.

A Feather Touch focuser with a 1.5" drawtube travel can be used, but will quickly bottom out on the adapter and may prevent the focuser from swinging through the fork arms. Three recessed setscrews in the adapter fit into a groove in the Feather Touch focuser body to lock the focuser in place. Precision machined of aluminum and black anodized.
