The Evoguide 50ED DX is your missing piece to your astronomy/astrophotography collection.

The Sky-Watcher Evoguide 50ED could be the perfect guidescope, finderscope, or small richfield telescope.  This ED optic gem is a fast f/4.8 focal ratio with a focal length of 242mm.  The non-rotating helical focuser is extremely precise for even the finest focusing adjustments.  The Evoguide 50ED has a standard T2 thread as well as a 1.25" opening for connecting just about anything.  An autoguider, camera, or eyepiece will be a perfect fit every time.

Scopes up to 10" should guide very well with this particular instrument.  As far as a camera goes, the Evoguide 50ED should work well photographically with chips up to 15mm in diameter.  Visually there will be some compromises.  Due to the 20mm of backfocus, or 60mm if you remove the 40mm extension, you would have to use it like a finderscope straight through.  There will not be enough room for a diagonal.  However a 32mm plossl should give you roughly a 6.6° field of view.  The 50ED comes standard with a two ring mounting bracket.  Like a conventional finder each ring has three nylon tipped screws for precise alignment with your optical tube.  The bracket it self has a vixen style stalk making it plug an play with any compatible finder shoe.
