This Universal Astro 2" to 1.25" eyepiece adapter slips into your telescope's 2" focuser or eyepiece holder to let you use a 1.25" star diagonal, image erecting diagonal, or photographic accessories in your 2" focuser. It also lets you use 1.25" eyepieces in an existing 2" star diagonal.
The Universal adapter uses a non-marring soft brass compression ring to hold your 1.25" accessories in place. The compression ring won't scratch the barrel of your star diagonal and accessories as an ordinary thumbscrew can. A chromed thumbscrew lets you adjust the tension on the compression ring.
The bottom of the 2" barrel of the adapter is threaded to hold 2" light pollution and neutral density filters.
The body of the adapter is made of machined aluminum, anodized black for long life. It also has smooth sides with no undercuts, taper, or anything to potentially interfere with other compression rings.
