The iOptron SkyHunter Extension Pier (#8041) is a lightweight, precision-machined aluminum riser designed to give your SkyHunter mount extra clearance and improved ergonomics in the field. Whether you're using a long telescope tube, a camera setup with hanging accessories, or just want to avoid tripod leg collisions during slewing, this compact 7.5" extension pier helps create the space you need without compromising stability or portability.

With standard 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes on both ends, this extension pier integrates easily with the iOptron #3221 tripod or nearly any photo tripod equipped with a standard 3/8" mounting stud—or even 1/4"-20 with a simple thread adapter.

• Adds 7.5" (190mm) of Height:
  Helps eliminate interference between your mount, telescope, or accessories and the tripod legs—especially useful for refractors, camera rigs, and diagonal-equipped scopes.

• Universal 3/8"-16 Threading (Top & Bottom):
  Both the top and bottom flanges feature standard 3/8"-16 threading, making the pier adaptable to a wide range of tripod heads and bases. Compatible with iOptron’s #3221 tripod, other iOptron portable systems, and many third-party tripods.

• Flexible Mounting Compatibility:
  Mounting flange supports both 3/8"-16 center post attachments and two M6 bolts, giving you options depending on the mount’s footprint and bolt pattern.

• Compact and Lightweight Design:
  At just 7.5" tall and under 2.5 pounds, the pier is easy to transport, store, and integrate into even the most mobile observing kits.
