The AstroZap Flexi-Heat Dew Shield gives your 8" SCT both passive protection and active dew-fighting power, all in one lightweight, easy-to-use package.

This dew shield is constructed from flexible black ABS plastic that wraps around your OTA and fastens with a secure Velcro strip. Inside, a velvet-lined interior reduces glare and slows the cooling of your corrector plate to delay dew buildup.

And when the air is heavy and passive protection isn’t enough, the built-in low-wattage heating element steps in. Connected by a standard RCA plug, the heater works with most 12V dew controllers (sold separately) to gently warm the corrector plate, keeping your views crystal clear during long sessions.
