Astrozap Flexi-Heat Dew Shield For Celestron 11" CGE And HD SCTs With Two Notches
Manufacturer Part # AZ-812-N-2
AstroZap Flexi-Heat® Heated Dew Shield – For Celestron 11" CGE & EdgeHD SCTs (with Dual Notches)
Integrated Dew Control for Fully Rigged 11" Optical Tubes
The AstroZap Flexi-Heat® dew shield for Celestron 11" CGE and EdgeHD Schmidt-Cassegrains provides dual protection against dew and stray light—with built-in heating and dual notches for telescopes equipped with both top and bottom dovetail rails.
Ideal for OTA-only setups or EdgeHD scopes mounted on equatorial platforms, this flexible shield combines the insulating benefits of traditional ABS construction with a factory-integrated heater strip. The result? Active dew protection through your entire observing or imaging session, even in humid or rapidly cooling conditions.
The shield attaches easily with a Velcro-style closure, rolls up for compact storage, and connects to any standard 12V dew controller via a RCA plug. The felt-lined interior boosts contrast and eliminates ambient glare, while the dual notches ensure a snug, interference-free fit around mounting hardware.

Observing Tip:
Activate your dew controller and Flexi-Heat shield before dew starts to form. Passive shielding + active heating is the most effective combination for uninterrupted observing—especially with large aperture SCTs that tend to dew up fast in damp conditions.
