Astrozap Flexi-Heat Dew Shield For Celestron 11" CGE And HD SCTs With One Notch
Manufacturer Part # AZ-812-N-1
AstroZap Flexi-Heat® Heated Dew Shield – For Celestron 11" CGE & EdgeHD SCTs (with Single Notch)
Active Dew Control for Celestron 11" Optical Tubes with One Mounting Rail
The AstroZap Flexi-Heat® dew shield for Celestron 11" CGE and EdgeHD Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes provides powerful dew protection through a combination of insulating design and built-in heater strip—perfect for scopes equipped with a single dovetail mounting bar.
This version includes a precision-cut single notch to accommodate OTAs with either a top or bottom dovetail, allowing a snug, centered fit without interference. The shield wraps around the front cell and attaches securely with a Velcro-style closure, while the felt-lined interior blocks stray light and enhances contrast.
The integrated RCA-terminated heater strip connects to any standard 12V dew controller (sold separately), giving you reliable, field-proven dew prevention for long observing sessions—even in heavy humidity or dropping nighttime temperatures.

Observing Tip:
SCTs are especially prone to dew on the corrector plate—especially larger apertures like 11" and up. A Flexi-Heat shield gives you the best of both worlds: passive insulation plus active heating. Turn it on early to stay ahead of moisture before it becomes a problem.
