This Celestron 11 pound (5.4 kg) counterweight lets you balance heavy heavy accessory loads (such as a photoguide scope, accessory dovetail, mounting rings, and a camera) installed on a Celestron Advanced Series VX computerized go-to telescope. It will also let you balance a heavy optical tube (Celestron or otherwise) and accessories installed on the Celestron VX mount (which comes with only one 11 pound counterweight as standard equipment). A hand-tighten knob holds the counterweight in place on the mount's 0.75" diameter counterweight bar. The counterweight wll also work with the previous generation Celestron CG-5 go-to mount.
