More on the way

This handy map of the Moon's near side identifies nearly 300 craters by name that you can see in a small telescope (many are also visible in binoculars), plus dozens of other features - such as mountain ranges and the dark maria or "seas" of once-molten lava. The map is oriented with north up, but is a mirror image of what you see with your unaided eye or binoculars. This mirror image is the Moon as you see it in a telescope with an odd number of reflections, such as a refractor or catadioptric telescope (a Schmidt-Cassegrain or Maksutov-Cassegrain) used with a star diagonal. The lunar disk is 10¼ inches in diameter. The map is printed on a weatherproof no-rip plastic material to protect it from dew, spills, and everyday wear and tear for years to come.
