iOptron SkyTracker Pro Camera Mount with iPolar (#3322A)

Precision polar alignment meets palm-sized portability—ideal for wide-field astrophotography anywhere on Earth.

If you’ve ever wrestled with polar alignment under dark skies—or struggled to get pinpoint stars with a camera lens longer than 85mm—the iOptron SkyTracker Pro with built-in iPolar is your answer. This upgraded version of iOptron's beloved travel tracker takes everything the original SkyTracker did well and refines it for serious astrophotographers who need accuracy, compactness, and all-night performance in one rugged little package.

Whether you're shooting Milky Way vistas from Monument Valley, chasing aurora in Alaska, or just photographing Orion from the backyard, the SkyTracker Pro’s built-in iPolar electronic polar scope delivers laser-precise alignment in minutes—even in the Southern Hemisphere, where traditional polar scopes can be notoriously difficult to use.

What Makes This Tracker Special?

This isn't just a motor with a mount. The SkyTracker Pro is an all-in-one system built to support your astrophotography journey from beginner to expert:

  • Integrated iPolar™ polar alignment camera gives you real-time, visual polar alignment via your laptop—even when Polaris isn’t visible. No more sight tubes or guessing.

  • Whisper-quiet tracking motor glides smoothly with minimal vibration or gear noise. Great for long exposures—even in quiet wilderness settings.

  • Four precision tracking rates (Sidereal 1X, Half-Speed 1/2X, Solar, and Lunar) allow you to match sky motion to your specific target—whether you're capturing deep sky, nightscape foregrounds, or a solar eclipse.

  • Quick-slew mode (up to 180X) lets you reframe your image quickly without disturbing your tripod or gear layout. No more guesswork or time-consuming resets.

  • All-metal structure with ABS shell accents ensures durability in the field while maintaining a travel-friendly weight.

Engineered for Portability—Without Compromising Capability

The SkyTracker Pro fits easily in the palm of your hand, yet it can support cameras up to 6.6 lbs (3 kg)—enough for a full-frame DSLR and a 135mm or 200mm lens. The included precision alt-az base makes polar alignment a breeze with large, smooth adjustment knobs and built-in latitude and azimuth scales. A bubble level ensures your tripod is leveled before you start.

Need to save space or shave weight? The mount head can be detached from the base and mounted directly to any tripod using 1/4" or 3/8" threads—perfect for airline travel or ultralight rigs.

And with a built-in rechargeable battery, you'll get up to 24 hours of continuous operation (at room temperature), so you can shoot all night without fumbling with external power supplies or cables.

  • iOptron SkyTracker™ Pro mount head (with built-in iPolar)
