This iOptron 4.5 kg (9.8 pound) counterweight lets you balance a heavy optical tube and heavy accessory load (such as a photoguide scope, accessory dovetail, mounting rings, and a camera) on a variety of iOptron computerized go-to equatorial mounts.

The mounts each come standard with one approximately ten pound counterweight suitable to balance payloads up to 15-18 pounds, depending on the mount. Adding one of these 9.8 pound counterweights to the mount (or an optional lighter 4.5 pound counterweight #3006-05) will let you balance payloads up to the mounts' respective maximum payloads.

A hand-tighten knob holds the counterweight in place on each mount's 20mm (0.78") diameter declination shaft. The counterweight measures 4.6" in diameter and 2.2" in height.
This 4.5 kg (~10 lbs) counterweight can be used for the following iOptron mounts:
