If this Astro-Tech AT80EDT was just another feature-laden 80mm doublet apo refractor, it would be fairly priced. But – this is not a doublet. It has a genuine ED triplet lens system that Sky & Telescope said has “essentially textbook-perfect diffraction images,” and that makes it an astronomical bargain indeed . . .
Temporarily out of stock; will charge and ship when available.
The Astro-Tech AT72ED is a worthy successor – and upgrade – to the AT66ED, an Astro-Tech scope that Astronomy magazine called “a product everyone should own.” The AT72ED is optically so good, despite its low price, that you might swear this compact air-spaced ED doublet refractor is an apochromat . . .
This black-anodized Astro-Tech 7” universal dovetail plate lets you mount short focal length optical tubes on any altazimuth or equatorial mount that uses a Vixen-style dovetail saddle . . .
This 26mm Astro-Tech Titan 2” super wide angle eyepiece has a huge 70° field of view that gives you “picture window on space” observing at a price substantially less than many other exotic super wide field designs with a similar 70° field of view . . .
This 15mm Astro-Tech Titan is a good quality medium power eyepiece with a very wide 70° field of view that will add expansive deep space vistas to your observing kit at a price only a fraction that of exotic wide field designs with a similar field of view . . .
This 10mm Astro-Tech Titan is a good quality high to medium-high power eyepiece with an image quality and a very wide 70° field of view that you wouldn’t normally expect to find at such a very reasonable price . . .
This Astro-Tech 50mm extension tube is used to make up for the loss of light path when a 2” star diagonal is removed from many refractor focusers and replaced by a camera and camera adapter for imaging. It can also be used with Astro-Tech Ritchey-Chrétien reflectors to bring webcams and DSLRs to the correct focus . . .
