| When observing the night sky with friends it’s easy for your friends to get lost in a myriad of stars if they are not familiar with the skies. Using Meade’s Green Laser Pointer, it's easy for you to point out celestial objects for all to see. The 5mW laser pointer shines a tight green beam of light to pinpoint the stars overhead. The laser beam reflects off dust and moisture in the atmosphere, making it visible for all to see. It can project a green dot of light visible up to 25,000 feet away, depending on atmospheric conditions.
You can trace the outline of the constellations, point out bright stars and the brighter nebulas and star clusters, and show the way to planets with ease. This is a great teaching tool for astronomy outreach and education. You can point out celestial objects with the laser while you talk about them, confident that everyone will see the exact stars and constellations that you’re discussing. It’s simple and easy and fun to use. Enjoy the night with a magic green light!
The Meade Green laser Pointer is safe to use (provided it is not pointed directly at your eyes or reflected directly into your eyes off a mirror or highly reflective surface). It is made to U.S. FDA laser standards and can be used at temperatures from 14° to 122° Fahrenheit.
The 6.3" long x 0.54" diameter Meade Laser pointer is coated with a soft black rubberized paint that provides a sure grip and is comfortable to hold in cold temperatures. It includes an elegant metal carrying case, two AAA batteries, and instructions for use.
