This fully-multicoated Plössl is a good quality medium high to high power eyepiece at a sensibly low price. It’s designed for high magnification lunar and planetary observing, bringing out detail in the smaller planetary nebulas, and for resolving globular clusters. It will work well with any telescope type, at any focal ratio. It is especially well suited to Schmidt-Cassegrains, where it provides close to the 1mm exit pupil recommended for maximum sharpness in observing lunar and planetary details. A soft rubber eyecup on the titanium-colored body shields the eye from ambient light. Eye relief is on the short side and will severely vignette the field of view for anyone who must wear eyeglasses while observing. Plastic caps are supplied to keep both ends of the eyepiece dust free.
