| This 1.25" tall non-vignetting adapter is designed to allow a 0.8" travel Feather Touch focuser with optional internal brake system to swing through the fork arms of 8" or 9¼" Celestron and 7" or 8" Meade catadioptric telescopes. It can be used with any larger catadioptric scope as well, but is particularly suited to the 7" to 9¼" scopes, due to the limited drive base pass-through clearance available for accessories with scopes in this aperture range. Its special wide-mouth design eliminates vignetting during wide field visual observing with long focal length wide field 2" eyepieces and during astrophotography. It has 2" diameter internal threads on one end that attach to the rear cell threads of the above telescopes. The opposite end of the adapter has a 2.75" diameter opening that accepts the body of a 0.8" travel Feather Touch focuser. Feather Touch focusers with longer drawtube travel can be used, but will quickly bottom out on the adapter and prevent the focuser from swinging through the fork arms. Three recessed setscrews in the adapter fit into a groove in the Feather Touch focuser body to lock the focuser in place. Precision machined of aluminum and black anodized.
