The ZLA is a metal collar that slips into your 2" focuser until its top is flush with the top of the focuser or diagonal. The ZLA is split on one side. When the thumbscrew or compression ring of the 2" focuser tightens down on the safety groove in the ZLA, the split compresses to hold firmly in place any 1.25" accessory mounted in the ZLA.

There is no retaining lip on the ZLA to keep it from slipping into your focuser drawtube or star diagonal, as this would increase the back focus of the system and defeat the purpose of the ZLA, so care should be taken when installing it in your scope.

The ZLA is included as standard equipment with all BF30 blocking filters.
