Bob's Knobs 3 replacement springs for Meade 8"/10"/12" Lightbridge Dobsonian primary mirrors
| The primary mirror support springs supplied with 8", 10", and 12" Meade LightBridge Dobsonians can gradually sag from the weight of the mirror and mirror cell, particularly with the larger and heavier 10" and 12" models. This gradual mirror sag requires more frequent collimation for the best images. It also makes collimation more difficult.
This set of three stainless steel replacement springs from Bob’s Knobs are stronger than the factory-supplied mirror support springs. These replacement springs provide adequate support to maintain the primary mirror collimation over time and in all telescope tube orientations. However, we recommend that the mirror locking screws remain in place for additional control.
