| The Takahashi Teegul Sky Patrol equatorial mount and its latitude adapters have a 1/4"-20 thread hole for connecting to a set of tripod legs in place of the tripod’s normal photographic pan head. The popular and stable Manfrotto tripod legs have a European standard 3/8" mounting bolt for attaching a pan head. This adapter converts the 3/8" Manfrotto bolt to a 1/4"-20 thread to let you install a Takahashi Teegul mount on Manfrotto tripod legs. The 2.5" diameter machined aluminum adapter weighs 4 ounces and fits between the tripod legs and the Teegul latitude adapter. It has a 3’8" threaded hole in its underside for connection to a tripod and a stainless steel 1/4"-20 thread bolt in its top for connection to a pan head or a Teegul latitude adapter. There are three recessed screwdriver-adjust bolts in the #3054 adapter that duplicate the locking bolts in the top of the tripod legs that prevent a pan head from swiveling unexpectedly. These can also be used to lock the Teegul mount more firmly in place on the tripod legs.
