| These 90mm i. d. felt-lined white-painted metal tube rings fit the Vixen 80M achromat, FL80S fluorite apochromatic, and ED80S ED apochromatic optical tubes, plus any other make 90mm o. d. optical tube. They have 1/4"-20 thread holes for mounting on the Vixen AP3808 accessory plate and DP3809 dovetail plate. They will also attach to any equatorial or altazimuth mount with 1/4"-20 thread holes in flat mounting bosses. The tube rings are split to allow for some variation in tube size, and to allow the tube rings to be slid up and down an optical tube for balancing purposes. However, they are not hinged. If the refractor optical tube has front and rear cells that are markedly larger in diameter than 90mm, one cell or the other will have to be unscrewed from the optical tube to allow the 90mm i. d. tube ring to slide onto the tube. Only one ring is shown in the images, but they are supplied only in pairs.
