| This fully multicoated field flattener is designed specifically for the TSA-102S and all versions of the Takahashi TOA-series triplet apo refractors. With the TSA-102, it provides a 2.8° flat field image over a 40mm diameter circle, nearly equal to the 44mm diagonal across a 35mm film negative. With either TOA-130, it provides a 2.3° flat field image over the same 40mm diameter circle. With the TOA-150, it provides a 2.09° flat field image over a 40mm diameter circle, again nearly equal to the 44mm diagonal across a 35mm film negative. Images taken during large format CCD and 35mm photography show pinpoint star images from one corner of the field to the other. The field flattener can also be used with very wide field 2" eyepieces to provide a visually flat field across the entire image area. The field flattener has a 2" barrel that fits into the 2" eyepiece holder of the scope. There is a safety groove cut into the chrome barrel to keep the flattener from slipping out of the eyepiece holder should the focuser thumbscrew accidentally loosen while observing. The opposite side of the flattener is a 2" barrel with two thumbscrews to hold 2" star diagonals, CCD cameras with 2" tubulation, etc.
