This 2" first surface mirror diagonal is designed to let you use 2" eyepieces with any catadioptric telescope. It threads onto the 2" rear cell threads common to all Schmidt-Cassegrain scopes. The diagonal’s 2" mirror is enhanced aluminum for high light transmission.

A safety stop at the bottom of the 2" eyepiece holder tube prevents 2" eyepieces or 2" Barlows from hitting the surface of the mirror. The interior of the 2" chrome barrel that fits into the focuser or visual back is painted matte black and is internally antireflection threaded for higher contrast.

A knurled thumbscrew holds eyepieces securely in place. Dust caps are provided for both sides of the diagonal.
