The 24mm Vernonscope Brandon eyepiece is designed for medium power use with any telescope type, at focal ratios down to f/4. It is exceptionally sharp at the center of the field (somewhat less so at the edges) for highly detailed lunar, planetary, star cluster, and binary star observing.

Eye relief at 8mm is short for unvignetted use with eyeglasses. The Brandon is the sharpest design currently available for eyepiece projection photography. The 24mm Vernonscope Brandon eyepiece has been supplied as standard equipment on ultra-premium Questar Maksutov-Cassegrains since 1971. The use of Celestron, Meade, or Thousand Oaks eyepiece color or light pollution filters with Vernonscope eyepieces requires adapter #3405.
