| The tripod cover is a three panel cover that opens full length on one side. The cover wraps around your scope tripod, and the open side of the cover seals shut with a full length Velcro fastener strip to hold it in place. Heavy duty 1" welting is wrapped around the top and bottom of the cover for strength. 2" welting is used on the open seam for extra durability and the Velcro fastener strip is sewn onto the welting. Four 2" spring clamps are included for securing the cover to the lower part of the legs or elsewhere as needed. The tripod cover can be used with a TeleGizmos scope cover to protect your entire telescope system from top to bottom. The maximum circumference of the top opening with the cover closed is 27" (approximately 9" in diameter). This top opening can be adjusted to a snug fit around the pier of your equatorial mount by using the supplied 2" spring clamp. The adjustable top opening allows you to place the cover over your mount's motor drives and electronics, protecting these components from moisture. Many users leave the cover on their tripod while observing or imaging if conditions are particularly dewy. Accessory trays mounted on the tripod can still be accessed by opening the Velcro seam enough to reach inside the cover. The tripod cover fits all tripods with a leg spread up to 50" and a leg height up to 52".
