The case hass two lockable latches, two steel-reinforced handles, and a 3” by 34” steel hinge. Its die-cut foam interior has compartments for to hold the optical tube, eyepieces, finderscope (must be detached from the OTA and inserted into a separate foam compartment), and accessories. It can be carried or pulled using the attached wheels. The foam is configured at the factory to hold the SN-8. To fit the SN-10, you simply pull out precut foam sections that increase the cavity size.

The outside dimensions of the case are approximately 40.5” x 17.5” x 15.25”. Its empty weight is approximately 21.2 lbs. The shipping weight of the scope is 26 lbs. However, due to its physical size, the freight companies consider it to be an oversize carton and charge for shipping as if it actually weighed 70 lbs. Keep this in mind when considering having the case shipped by air.
