| Simultaneously and safely carry all of the counterweights included with the Meade LXD55/LXD75, Celestron CG5 and Advanced Series, and Orion Sirius and Atlas German equatorial mounts. By transporting all of your counterweights at one time, it allows faster setup and takedown of your scope. It also eliminates juggling multiple weights in the dark and the danger of dropping one on your foot if the weights get slippery with dew. The caddy holds one to three counterweights up to 6.25” in diameter, typical of the size used with the mounts listed above. The weights thread onto a rod in a steel support frame. Easily removed cotter pins lock the support rod and counterweights into place in the frame. The frame has an integral carrying handle that makes it easy to carry three weights simultaneously. Three replacement counterweight locking bolts are included with the caddy to replace any bolts lost in the field. The image above left shows an empty caddy and the extra locking bolts by themselves, plus a second caddy showing how the weights fit into it and are locked in place. |
