| This high quality bolt-style polypropylene eyepiece container provides inexpensive protection for your expensive optics. It keeps an eyepiece safe, dustproof, and dewproof. It has a hexagonal base that prevents the eyepiece from rolling if the container is placed on a slanted surface. Soft foam inserts inside both ends cradle the eyepiece and keep it from rattling around during transit. If the foam insert in the top of the container is too loose for your liking, a piece of double-faced tape (not supplied) can be used to hold it in place in the container top. Additional foam inserts (#65FOAM) are available optionally to provide a more snug fit for short eyepieces. The screw-closure design cannot open accidentally, even if dropped. The length is adjustable to hold any eyepiece or Barlow measuring between 105mm (4.15”) and 170mm (6.7”) in length, with a maximum diameter of 65mm (2.55”). Some of the eyepieces and Barlows that fit in this container include: 1.- TeleVue 12mm, 17mm, and 22mm Naglers; 2.- TeleVue 55mm Plössl; 3.- TeleVue 22mm and 27mm Panoptics; 4.- Pentax 5.2mm, 7mm, 10.5mm, 40mm, and zoom XL – as a replacement for the standard equipment but less-sturdy and more difficult to open rectangular plastic case they come with; 5.- Takahashi 50mm LE; and 6.- the TeleVue 1.25” 3x Barlow and Meade #122 and #127 Barlows (fine for length, but the container diameter is substantially larger than needed for a snug fit). |
