Pentax Corporation warrants binoculars and monoculars originally distributed by Pentax Corporation, 35 Inverness Drive East, Englewood, Colorado 80112 to be free from defects in material and workmanship for as long as the product is owned by the original owner. If this product fails because of defects in material and workmanship, we will repair the product without charge to you within a reasonable time.
If this product needs service, take it, or package it carefully, using ample packing material to prevent damage during shipment, and mail it to the Pentax service center listed, postage prepaid and insured. NOTE: Pentax Corporation will not assume the responsibility for damages or loss encountered in transit, but will assist the sender in processing any claims whenever possible (such as submitting statements to the carriers when applicable, and talking with them on the phone to help expedite the claim then applicable).
In your package, please include the following:
1. Dated proof of original purchase (Copy of Bill of Sale or Charge Slip).
2. A Copy of your Pentax Corporation Product Registration Card (purchaser’s record).
3. A note describing the problem.
4. Because the product has a lifetime warranty a signed statement that you are the original owner will suffice if items #1 and #2 are not available.
COMPLETING AND MAILING THE PRODUCT REGISTRATION CARD IS NOT NECESSARY TO OBTAIN WARRANTY COVERAGE. This warranty shall NOT apply if it is shown by Pentax that the defect or malfunction was caused by damage resulting from operation of the product contrary to instructions contained in the owner’s manual, or any misuse or abuse of the product. Also, this warranty is voided if improper modification of servicing is performed.
Pentax’s sole responsibility is set forth above. PENTAX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT. Since some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential or incidental damages, this limitation may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
THIS LIMITED WARRANY APPLIES ONLY TO BINOCULARS, MONOCULARS, AND SCOPES ORIGINALLY DISTRIBUTED IN THE UNITED STATES BY PENTAX CORPORATION, 35 INVERNESS DRIVE EAST, ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO, 80112. Make sure that the Pentax equipment you are purchasing has a Product Registration Card issued by Pentax Corporation.
Before traveling to a foreign country, send us a copy of your dated proof of purchase to obtain an International Warranty Card and a list of authorized service centers in the country you will be visiting.
Pentax Corporation will provide warranty servicing on binoculars, monoculars, and scopes purchased in a foreign country if bona fide foreign proof of purchase and International Warranty Card is provided. We will issue you an International Warranty Card at your request upon receipt of a copy of your bona fide foreign proof of purchase.
